Rooted in Kurt Suzuki’s Hawai’ian values of compassion and community, the foundation supports underprivileged youth in Hawai’i and Southern California through education, athletics, and menthorship. Whether empowering the next generation or providing aid to families affected by the Lahaina fires, the KSF Foundation is committed to doing what is right and inspiring others to do the same.
The KSF Foundation proudly sponsored a group of young athletes and their families on a life-changing journey to Japan through its travel baseball program. This initiative provided an opportunity for the boys to experience cultural enrichment, compete in international baseball, and build lifelong relationships, all while representing their community with integrity.
Following the devastating Lahaina fires, the PONO Boys traveled to Maui to deliver aid and bring hope to the local community. The team spent time connecting with local youth, donating supplies, and helping to rebuild a sense of normalcy through the power of sport and fellowship. The trip was more than an act of service—it was a heartfelt gesture of solidarity.
Each year, the KSF Foundation hosts its annual Taste of Hawai‘i Gala in Maui—an evening dedicated to celebrating community, generosity, and the spirit of giving back. The event brings together supporters, families, and local partners to raise funds that directly benefit the PONO Boys travel Baseball Program and a variety of community initiatives across Hawai‘i.

A Taste of Hawaii is a tropical themed fundraising gala with a chic ambiance to benefit the Kurt Suzuki Family Foundation. Los Angeles Angels Manager, MLB All-Star, and World Series Champion, Kurt Suzuki and celebrity chef, Isaac Bancaco, will host an evening of fine culinary experiences and live entertainment.
A Taste of Hawaii will bring local celebrity chefs and various professional athletes together for an evening of first class entertainment. Six celebrity chefs will host their own gourmet food stations each paired with a Major League Baseball player or professional athlete to serve our guests throughout the evening.
