A Taste of Hawaii is a tropical-inspired fundraising gala with a refined, chic ambiance, benefiting the Kurt Suzuki Family Foundation and the Angels Baseball Foundation. Hosted by Los Angeles Angels Manager, World Series Champion, and MLB All-Star Kurt Suzuki, alongside Food Network celebrity chef Isaac Bancaco, the evening brings together exceptional culinary talent and world-class entertainment.

Guests will experience a curated culinary journey featuring five renowned local and celebrity chefs, each hosting their own gourmet food station. Every station will be paired with a professional athlete, creating an engaging and memorable dining experience that blends fine cuisine with the spirit of sport.

Kurt Suzuki and Isaac Bancaco’s Taste of Hawai'i

Rooted in Kurt Suzuki’s deep connection to his home island of Maui, this event prioritizes support for communities affected by recent wildfires and flooding—particularly families in Lahaina. Proceeds will benefit Maui and Altadena firefighters who have lost their homes, as well as families in Maui battling cancer who have been further impacted by these natural disasters.

In addition, A Taste of Hawaii continues its commitment to the SoCal PONO youth baseball program, which is dedicated to expanding access to the sport while shaping strong athletes, responsible leaders, and engaged citizens. Built on the values of PONO—integrity, balance, and doing what is right—the program ensures that no child is excluded from competitive baseball due to financial limitations. Many participating families come from communities facing real adversity along Los Angeles’ Harbor Gateway, yet the mission remains clear: every child deserves equal opportunity for personal growth and athletic development, regardless of circumstance.

A Taste of Hawaii is a tropical themed fundraising gala with a chic ambiance to benefit the Kurt Suzuki Family Foundation. Los Angeles Angels Manager, MLB All-Star, and World Series Champion, Kurt Suzuki and celebrity chef, Isaac Biancaco, will host an evening of fine culinary experiences and live entertainment. A Taste of Hawaii will bring local celebrity chefs and various professional athletes together for an evening of first class entertainment. Six celebrity chefs will host their own gourmet food stations each paired with a Major League Baseball player or professional athlete to serve our guests throughout the evening.
